I have worked in child care settings for over twenty years in various roles including management and training. I have completed my Foundation degree in Early years education and my BA Professional studies in learning and development allowing me to give a wealth of experience and knowledge to my role at Sunnyside. I am passionate about providing a safe and inclusive environment allowing the children to be curious and excited by the learning opportunities we provide. In my spare time I like spending time with my family, running and reading a good book.

I have been working with children for 14 years in both Nurseries and Pre-schools. It is a great achievement guiding and supporting children through their early years development.

In my own time, I like to spend time with my family making many memories!

Cache Level 3 Diploma for children and young peoples workforce (QCF)

I have worked with children and young people since I graduated from University in 2011. This includes children’s homes, nursery and pre school settings.

I find it very rewarding to play a key role in supporting children’s personal and educational growth in their early development.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, visiting wildlife centres, national trusts and hever castle.

Fern Elliott

I joined Sunnyside in April 2023 as a maternity cover after working at another Preschool. I will be studying for an NVQ Level 3 this year and developing my knowledge in early years.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family.

Danielle Falcke
Danielle FalckePre-School Assistant

My background is mainly in Health and Social Care where I spent almost 10 years working within the NHS.
More recently I have worked as a Teaching Assistant and 1:1 support in a local Primary School.

I really enjoy building positive relationships with the children, it’s so rewarding to see them learn and achieve.

In my spare time you can always find me doing arts and crafts with my two children, going for countryside dog walks or trying a new recipe for dinner!!

Postgraduate Certificate in Professional Practice: National Award for Special Educational Needs Coordination

I have been a qualified teacher since graduating from university in 2003. I previously worked at an Infant School in Horley for 15 years, developing my career and experiences throughout the school. I have a real passion for working with Early Years, helping to ignite curiosity and enthusiasm for learning and enabling young children to acquire lifelong skills for the future.

In my own time I enjoy reading, swimming and going on walks and bike rides with my children.
